I ’VE seen a dying eye                                              J'ai vu un oeil mourant

Run round and round a room                                   Dans la pièce roulant roulant

In search of something, as it seemed,                       En quête de quelque chose, ainsi qu'il semble,

Then cloudier become;                                            Puis plus nuageux

 And then, obscure with fog,                                    Et puis lors, obscurci de brume,

And then be soldered down,                                    Et puis lors, être soudé,

Without disclosing what it be,                                   Sans divulguer ce qui serait,

’T were blessed to have seen.                                  Qui fût béni d'avoir vu.
